Description

A leading multinational technical facilities management company is seeking an experienced Projects Health & Safety Manager to join its Operations and Projects team. The role will support a diverse portfolio of projects across the M62 corridor, varying in size, value and complexity.

Operating across the energy, engineering and facilities services sectors, the business delivers innovative energy solutions and supports clients in reducing carbon emissions through the adoption of low-carbon technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure project procedures comply with health and safety legislation, industry standards and company policies.
  • Monitor health and safety performance across engineering, energy and facilities management projects.
  • Provide expert health and safety advice and support to project and operational teams.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Oversee the safe management of subcontractors and project activities.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing preventative measures.
  • Prepare and present health and safety reports and performance data to senior management.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions, training and awareness programmes.
  • Support project teams in achieving health and safety objectives while promoting best practice.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture.
Experience
  • Previous Health & Safety experience within construction, M&E, engineering or project-based environments.
  • Experience working on CDM projects.
  • Good understanding of current health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to support a variety of projects and operational activities.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
  • GradIOSH or equivalent professional membership is desirable.
  • ISO Auditing Qualification would be beneficial 
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
