Description

An established, multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, capable professional who can hit the ground running and become a key member of a growing team.

The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, including residential, commercial, healthcare and infrastructure schemes throughout London, with values ranging from £500k to £500m+.

Initially this is an office-based role to encourage collaboration with the architectural and design teams, moving to one day per week working from home.

The Role

  • Deliver both Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services.
  • Provide practical CDM and health & safety advice from project inception through to completion.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, design teams and clients to ensure effective design risk management.
  • Attend design team meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.
  • Build strong client relationships while maintaining high technical standards and helping to secure new work.
  • Mentor and develop CDM professionals.
Experience
  • Several years’ experience delivering the Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services.
  • Previous construction or design background (e.g. Architect, Engineer or Construction Management- preferred)
  • Strong client-facing, communication and business development skills.
  • Excellent Knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
Qualifications
  • A relevant degree is preferred.
  • Working towards or already holding CMaPS, CMIOSH, or an equivalent professional qualification.
