Description

Construction Health and Safety Advisor required to join a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy to plan, manage, monitor and co-ordinate health and safety.

You will join the business to deliver consultancy services across ongoing construction projects throughout the Midlands and M4 Corridor region.

This position is home-based, with frequent travel to sites, client offices and other company offices.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Attending client sites to carry out Health and Safety inspections and compliance inspections.

Writing reports.

Having responsibility for invoicing your own projects as soon as they are complete.

Preparing, assessing and supporting the development of Health and Safety systems, including policies, procedures and risk assessments.

Acting as a key interface between members of client teams.

Delivering services within an agreed time frame and within budget.

Providing health and safety training.

Reviewing, preparing, co-ordinating and distributing relevant Health and Safety information to other design and project team members.

Reviewing Construction Phase Health and Safety plans.

Attending meetings.

Liaising with colleagues, providing Health and Safety advice and support as necessary.

Preparing and issuing fee proposals.

Supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Identifying business development opportunities and assisting with the growth of Client base.

Experience

2 + years’ experience acting as a Construction Health and Safety Advisor.

Qualifications

Minimum of Tech IOSH, ideally hold or be working towards CMIOSH Accreditation. 

Preferably NEBOSH Diploma and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.

Full clean driving licence is essential.

 

The company are paying £40k-£45k plus car allowance, pension, healthcare and other benefits.
