Safety and CDM Consultant – Full training and mentoring available.

Office-based with flexible home working

(Principal Designer – CDM / Building Regulations Principal Designer / CDM Adviser)

If you have construction and/or design knowledge and the will and desire to step into the world of CDM, fully funded training and mentorship will be provided to develop you to be able to deliver all of the duties of this role.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated CDM Consultant to join an established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy team. This role combines Principal Designer (CDM and Building Regulations) duties with more general CDM Adviser responsibilities, working across an exciting portfolio of projects.

You will support clients across commercial, retail, education, and residential sectors, covering both new build and refurbishment projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy committed to delivering industry-leading, first-class services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Principal Designer under CDM and Building Regulations, providing professional support to clients and project teams.
  • Assist clients in fulfilling and documenting their responsibilities under the CDM Regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to develop practical, safe, and compliant solutions.
  • Conduct site inspections and meetings independently as required.
  • Build and develop strong client relationships, helping to expand and grow the business.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development.
Experience
  • Backgrounds in construction, consulting, architectural technology, building control, or similar technical disciplines will be considered.
  • Knowledge of the Building and/or CDM Regulations
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications

Relevant safety/architectural or design qualifications.
