Description

Health and Safety Consultant required to join a multi-disciplinary, professional services company that manage and deliver construction safety and business safety services to clients across the UK and internationally.

You will join the team to deliver high quality services to clients across numerous sectors including education, nuclear, residential, retail and sports.

This is a remote role, with travel for site-visits and on-site client meetings. 

 Duties include

  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and client standards.
  • Offer clear, practical health and safety guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Identify potential hazards or risks and recommend improvements where needed.
  • Prepare, review and maintain site-specific risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and other H&S documentation.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of health and safety management systems and best practices.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions and health and safety briefings as required.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses and accidents and contribute to the development of preventative strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors and project teams to uphold health and safety standards throughout project lifecycles.
  • Participate in audits, inspections and the preparation of health and safety reports for both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Stay informed of updates in health and safety legislation and industry standards to promote continuous improvement.
Experience
  • 2 + years within a construction H&S role.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate is desirable.
  • Minimum of TechIOSH working towards or holding CertIOSH.

The company are paying £40k-£50k plus benefits.
