Health, Safety and Fire Risk Assessors (Contract)

We are seeking experienced Health, Safety and Fire Risk Assessors to provide services to clients across London and the South East on a contract basis. This role will involve conducting comprehensive health, safety and fire risk assessments for a variety of property types, including HMOs, purpose-built blocks of flats, converted properties and commercial premises such as offices, retail and mixed-use spaces. 

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential health, safety and fire hazards in the workplace, ensuring all risks are documented and assessed according to current regulations and best practices.

Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, fire codes and standards; recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Carry out regular site inspections, safety audits, and fire audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures are in place and functioning properly.

Prepare detailed reports on risk assessments, incidents and inspections; investigate accidents or near misses and recommend preventive measures.

Experience
  • At least 5 years proven experience in delivering fire risk and more general health and safety  assessments.
  • Good working knowledge of Approved Document B.
  • Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997
  • Ability to work independently and with various clients.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent as minimum.
  • Relevant fire qualifications
  • Tier 2 or 3 of the IFSM Register or equivalent.

You will need to be available to work a minimum of 3 days a week, on-going.

The role has been assessed as outside IR35.
