Description

Construction Health and Safety Consultant required to join the Leeds based team of a multi-disciplinary consultancy. This role is ideal for someone with c2-4 years of relevant experience looking to take the next step in their career. 

You will provide construction health and safety services on a variety of projects across different sectors in Yorkshire and the Northern region.

Duties include:

Advising on CDM 2015 compliance: Ensuring that all parties involved in a project meet their obligations under CDM (2015).
Developing and reviewing RAMS to identify hazards and establish controls to minimize risks on site.
Conducting regular site visits to monitor safety performance and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Creating and maintaining detailed construction phase health and safety plans for project sites.
Investigating incidents or near misses on site, identifying root causes, and recommending preventive measures.
Providing health and safety training, including delivering toolbox talks to site personnel on best practices and safety procedures.
Communicating with clients, contractors, and designers to provide safety advice and ensure collaboration on safety matters.
Maintaining records of safety-related documents, such as permits, certifications, and inspection reports.
Recommending appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that workers are using it correctly.
Keeping up to date with changes in health and safety regulations and ensuring that all advice and policies are current and compliant.

Experience

Solid understanding of CDM 2015
At least 2-4 years relevant experience gained within construction.
Strong communication and organisational skills, a can do approach, willingness to learn and adaptability to different client needs.

Qualifications

NEBOSH General essential.

NEBOSH Construction or further NVQ or progression with Diploma level qualifications ideal.
