Description

Principal Designer required to join a construction and property consultancy.  Working with both public and private sector Clients, across the Central Belt. 

As a Principal Designer under CDM regulations, you will deliver both PD and CDM services.  You will be working on a range of projects from demolition to large scale construction and fit-out works, with values ranging from £500k to £500m+

The role offers hybrid working with a connection to the Glasgow office.

Role

Ensure projects comply with CDM 2015.

Develop risk responses and plans to eliminate the risks on projects.

Assist with co-ordinating and attending meetings as required throughout projects.

Near miss and accident investigation where required.

Review Construction Phase Plans.

Prepare and produce Pre-Construction Information.

Undertake site safety inspections as Client CDM Advisor.

Assist with business development, fee proposals and building client relationships.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a project team.

Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation.

 

Experience

c5 years’ experience in delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015

Experience in leading projects of varying sizes and complexity.

Qualifications

You will ideally hold or be working towards CMaPS Accreditation.

A degree or equivalent in a Built Environment/Construction/Design subject and/or membership of other relevant professional bodies (MCABE, MCIOB, RIBA, MRICS, MAPM, MIStructE, MICE, CEng, etc would be beneficial but not essential.

Driving license and use of your own vehicle - the company offer a car allowance.

NEBOSH, Fire and other vocational and related qualifications are beneficial.

The company are offering £40k - £50k plus car allowance, health insurance, pension, training and more.
