Description

Health and Safety Compliance Manager required to lead the implementation and management of the Safety Program for a large, respected engineering and construction contractor. This critical role will drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring all practices align with organisational objectives and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Implement and manage the Program organisation-wide.

Conduct comprehensive training sessions and integrate values into recruitment and onboarding.

Advocate a proactive safety culture and facilitate open communication.

Monitor adherence to protocols and compile insightful safety reports.

Collaborate with Directors and Operational Management to review project performance and set targets.

Conduct internal audits, recommend improvements, and oversee Supply Chain engagement.

Delivers Toolbox Talk Training.

Provide management support in response to crises, including incidents and high-level investigations.

Ideally you will be based near the Dublin, Limerick, or Galway office.   The role requires site visits in Ireland and Europe.

Experience

This is an important hire for the company at a Senior Grade.  We are seeking a corporate, professional deamenour with significant demostrable experience gained in a similar role. 

You will have lead compliance in a large corporate entity, in house or Client side.  

You will have construction industry experience and possibly experience in compliance from an alternative sector too.

Your knowledge will enable you to make an immediate impact and inspire confidence in those around you.

Qualifications

Ideally degree qualified with relevant professional memberships. 

A clear record of CPD.

CMIOSH or equivalent.
