Description

Project Health and Safety Advisor required on a contract basis on an interconnector project in Wexford, Ireland by the construction and engineering contractor.

IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED.

Outside IR35.

You will ensure the safety of all personnel involved in the project. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust health and safety practices, in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement project-specific health and safety plans, procedures, and policies.

- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks.

- Collaborate with project stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

- Provide guidance and support to project teams on health and safety matters.

- Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Deliver health and safety training programs for project personnel.

-Support project management teams and personnel throughout the project.

 

Location and Accommodation:

The position is based full time in Wexford, Ireland. While local candidates are preferred, we are open to assisting with accommodation/ negotiating an all-in rate.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in major projects across the construction or engineering sector, preferably with previous interconnector experience.

- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk management.

- Relevant qualifications in health and safety management or a related field.

 

Qualifications

Holding or working towards CMIOSH status.
