Description

Junior Health, Safety and CDM Construction Consultant required by a property and construction consultancy firm to deliver Health, Safety and CDM services across Birmingham, the West Midlands and wider region, as part of a supportive team. 
 
Responsibilities will include:

Working with the design team to reduce and manage risks in design for clients.
Assisting the client in discharging their duties and promoting positive Health and Safety Management.
Assisting in developing risk responses and plans to eliminate the risks on projects.
Attending design meetings, reviewing designs.
Visiting project sites to complete Health and Safety Inspections and reporting to the client.
Assisting in reviewing Construction Phase Plans.
Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation.

The company are offering £45k - £50k plus pension, life assurance, health and more.

Experience

You will have gained experience most likely in a consulting role working as a CDMA, PDA and construction safety consultant. This is a more junior level role offering progression, learning and further development within an established team. Existing knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015. Demonstrable experience in either construction site safety or design.

Qualifications

NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications, ideally holding or progressing to Diploma or equivalent. Principal Designer, CDM training or qualifications beneficial. Qualification in a construction, engineering, building surveying or building services discipline is desirable. Recognised membership of a proven Health and Safety organisation i.e. IOSH APS – desirable
