- Description
- CDM Specialist - Health and Safety Advisor required to join a multi-disciplinary, professional services company to support with rail projects. With a good knowledge of the pre-construction phase, you will support optioneering assessment, implementation of CDM strategy, design assurance, and CDM workshops. You will support engineers designing railways by influencing the Health and Safety through construction, operation and maintenance.
The role offers hybrid working with a connection to either their Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham office.
Duties include:
Creating, managing and delivering projects.
Providing excellent Health, Safety and CDM advice and services in the rail sector.
Assisting in fulfilling Health and Safety responsibilities to maintain and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Conducting audits and inspections to promote best practice.
Developing risk responses and plans to eliminate the risks on projects.
Attending meetings as required throughout projects.
Visiting project sites or client offices, which may lead to occasional overnight stays.
Reviewing Construction Phase Plans.
Working as part of a team and independently.
Compiling Health and Safety reports.
The company are offering £60k-£65k plus car allowance, pension schemes, life assurance. - Experience
- Demonstrable experience within Health and Safety, CDM most likely gained in complex projects. A good understanding of the relationship between the construction design process and CDM 2015 and experience in working in that space on projects.
- Qualifications
- IMaPS, TechIOSH or GradIOSH with an aspiration to work towards either Chartership or Fellowship in an accredited professional body. A good working knowledge or qualifications in auditing of ISO 45001 and other relevant Health and Safety standards. Evidence of relevant further specialist training and experience, including CDM, and evidence of regular CPD.
