Job Description:
As Principal Designer and CDM Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction and infrastructure projects while prioritizing health and safety. You will work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to drive compliance with the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM).
 
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the focal point for health and safety during the design and construction phases of projects.
- Leading the coordination of health and safety information between project stakeholders.
- Providing expert advice on design risk management and compliance with CDM regulations.
- Conducting design reviews and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Assisting with the preparation of pre-construction information and health and safety files.
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Principal Designer or CDM Advisor in the construction industry. - In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and their application throughout the project lifecycle. - Strong understanding of design risk management and hazard identification. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and project teams. - A proactive and collaborative approach, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH, CITB, or APS membership would be advantageous.
