Description
Associate CDM and Safety Consultant to join a global professional services company servicing a range of projects including commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure schemes.

Positions are available in Birmingham, Bristol and London. Initially you would be in the local office c2-3 days a week this would then change to once a month as you settle into the role. 

Projects are predominantly in the local region, with occasional need to travel further afield, with some overnight stays.

Role
Provide CDM advice and support to Client Teams.
Prepare, co-ordinate and distribute relevant Health and Safety Information to other design and project team members.
Ensure works adhere to Client health and safety management procedures (asbestos etc), best practice and safety regulations.
Write reports.
Attend and contribute to project/client meetings.
Undertake site inspections.
Co-ordinate and manage project work completed by junior colleagues.
Manage work activities which support Quality Management System.
Report all health and safety incidents and concerns, including near misses, accidents, and injuries.
 

 
The company is offering £50k-£60k plus car/allowance, pension, the option to purchase up to 5 extra days holiday per year, Cycle to Work Scheme and more.
Experience
You will ideally hold an HND or equivalent in a construction related discipline. Several years Principal Designer experienceBackground of Health and Safety within a Construction environmentUnderstanding of the design process and its relationship with site activitiesStrong knowledge of the CDM RegulationsProven client relationship capability
Qualifications
NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety or Occupational Health & Safety Ideally CMaPS and GradIOSH/CMIOSH status.
