- Description
- Principal Construction Contractor are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to provide specialist Health and Safety advice to management and project teams across the Midlands. You will be working out of their Solihull office, servicing projects around Birmingham. Projects include education, commercial, healthcare, leisure, public sectors and more.
Duties.- Working with line management to assist in fulfilling Health and Safety responsibilities to maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits and inspections to promote best practice and identify areas of unsafe working conditions.
- Promote and implement the Safety Programme, advise on the Safe Systems at Work, Construction Phase Plans and Environmental Management Plans, and compile monthly Health and Safety progress reports.
Package and Benefits.
The role will pay c£60k plus a flexible benefits scheme including car/allowance (EV car scheme) 26 Days annual leave, 7.5% pension, health, life and much more.
The role comes with flexible hybrid working. You could expect to be at project sites 3-4 days per week and home/office based 1-2 days per week. - Experience
- Demonstrable experience within the construction industry, ideally with a large or Principal Contractor. Experience across the relevant sectors would be desirable. A good practical understanding of the principles of Health and Safety legislation. Exposure/an understanding of Environmental Management and Sustainability principles
- Qualifications
- NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent and ideally further safety qualifications holding or working towards CMIOSH status.
