Description
Junior Health and Safety Consultant required by an environmental, safety and health consultancy business in the North West and Manchester area.
You will work closely with clients across a wide range of industries including Construction, Demolition, Infrastructure, Hospitals and Health, Education, Highways, Gas and Electrical Utilities, Renewables energy projects, Manufacturing, Engineering, Airports, Flood Alleviation, Residential and Retail sectors.
 
Role:
  • Assist the Project Manager with the delivery of multiple projects
  • Providing H&S / CDM advice and services
  • Undertaking reviews and checks of safety related documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and questioning generalisation and assumptions.
  • Carrying out safety monitoring visits to Client’s sites and carrying out audits against site safety documentation; and
  • Supporting in the collation and development of bidding / tender responses.

Experience
Proven track record of providing competent and health and safety advice in a multitude of project environments / sectors. A good understanding of the relationship between the construction design process and CDM 2015 and experience in working in that space on projects. Have a willingness to travel across UK with occasionally overnight stays. Energetic;Organised;Reliable;Team player;Dependable.
Qualifications
NEBOSH General and/or Construction Certificates or equivalent. Desirable:TechIOSH or GradIOSH. Working knowledge or qualifications in auditing of ISO 45001 and other relevant Health and Safety standards. Aspiration to work towards either Chartership or Fellowship in an accredited professional body. Hold a full UK driving licence.
