- Description
- Safety Consultant CDM/ Principal Designer required to work in an established multi-disciplinary organisation. The company provide solutions to meet the planning, engineering design and project needs across property, infrastructure, environment and energy sectors.
The Client base is wide ranging from small and straightforward infrastructure and highways projects to working on some of the largest schemes in the UK. Working across both Public and Private sectors.
Role:
Responsibility for the planning, managing and monitoring Health & Safety in the pre-construction phase.
Assisting the design team when designing out risks.
PD Duties as defined by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations Carry out reviews of site project information and construction drawings, and identification of design, construction and maintenance risks through Design Risk Reviews.
Attend Design & Project Meetings as required throughout projects.
Visit project sites.
Prepare, co-ordinate and distribute relevant Health & Safety Information to other design & project team members.
Review Construction Phase Plans.
Review RAMS
Identify regional business development opportunities generally and assist with the growth of Client base. - Experience
- Demonstrable previous experience in a similar construction/design safety and CDM role. Some consultancy or client side services experience.
- Qualifications
- Member of the Association for Project Safety. NEBOSH construction certificate. Ideal but not essential: NEBOSH fire.
