- Description
Principal Designer and Safety Consultant required by by a multi-discipline professional services consultancy to deliver Health, Safety and CDM services across the North West as part of a national team and network of offices and with the support of a Company Head of Health, Safety and CDM.
Duties include;
Your role will focus on further delivering Safety and CDM client lead services to existing clients and projects, splitting your time working on hands on projects and team management and operational duties. The intention of the company is to support the Associate Director to build a team of Safety and CDM professionals, develop business and an important revenue stream.
Other responsibilities include:
• Ensuring projects comply with CDM 2015 and current safety regulation and legislation, making use of mature policies and standard processes.
• Assisting clients in discharging their duties and enacting positive Health and Safety management
• Supporting the project team with management and advice
• Leading design team meetings, reviewing designs
• Delivering financial growth
• Engaging with contractors to drive positive safety management
• Setting strategy for business unit growth
• Setting and managing budgets
• Business development and work winning
You will have considerable experience working and leading client projects to ensure compliance with the CDM (2015) Regulations.

You will be looking to make an immediate impact and will also have the following skills, experience, and attributes: • Practical experience in managing and providing dedicated CDM / H&S advisor services • Passion, ambition and drive to grab a real opportunity to shape the direction of a business unit within an already successful organisation. • Comprehensive knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015• Experience in managing and developing a successful team.
